Fratelli Burgio is looking for an expert counter clerk for La Salumeria in Syracuse. This role requires a passion for gastronomy, skill in preparing dishes and a strong orientation towards the customer and teamwork, in order to guarantee the quality standards that distinguish the offer of our historic restaurant in the Ortigia market, in Syracuse.

Responsibilities and Activities :

  • Preparation of sandwiches, salads and menu dishes.
  • Management of the delicatessen counter and customer relations.
  • Maintenance of quality, hygiene and safety standards.
  • Collaboration with the team to ensure excellent service.

Required Skills :

  • Experience in similar roles, preferably in high-end delicatessens or delicatessens.
  • Skill in preparing dishes and managing the counter.
  • Ability to work in a team.
  • Excellent communication skills and customer orientation.
  • Knowledge of typical Sicilian delicatessen and dairy products (preferential qualification).
  • Knowledge of English (preferred qualification).
  • Flexibility and ability to manage dynamic work rhythms that characterize the high season.

Selected candidates will be invited for an in-person interview at our location. We will explore

the opportunity to meet the team you might be working with.

 Practical test

For some positions, a practical test may be required. For example, candidates for roles
in the kitchen or dining room might be asked to complete trial shifts to demonstrate their skills.

 Final evaluation

After the interviews and any practical tests, our Human Resources team will conduct a final
