"Capperi delle Isole Eolie DOP" salted

The volcanic soils of the Aeolian Islands, rich in minerals and fertility, are ideal for growing capers. Hand-picked one by one, from April to August, the buds (capers) and fruits (cucunci) are grown without the use of chemical fertilizers, but only natural ones. Essential in Mediterranean cuisine, they enrich first and second courses of meat and fish, accompanied by local wines such as Malvasia delle Lipari DOP and Salina IGP. It is advisable to desalt them under a jet of water before use.
